Cooperstown Man Allegedly Assaults Woman, Threatens Her Father With Pistol

OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Cooperstown man is in the Venango County Jail following a domestic assault that occurred Saturday morning at 2735 Cherrytree Road, in Oakland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, this incident occurred around 8:25 a.m. as 27-year-old David Alann Martin, Jr., of Cooperstown, and a female victim were involved in a physical domestic dispute.

Police say the female victim left her residence and traveled to her parent’s house.

The female victim’s father confronted Martin, and Martin allegedly threatened him while holding a pistol, according to police.

Martin was arrested on the following charges:

– Terroristic Threats
– Simple Assault
– Strangulation
– Harassment

Martin was arraigned in front of Judge Fish.

His bail was denied, and he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 19.
