JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Cooperstown man is facing felony drug, theft, and related charges after police found him with methamphetamine, a stolen vehicle, and a stolen gun at a Jackson Township residence.

Court documents indicate the Troop E State Police Vice/Narcotics Unit in Erie filed criminal charges against 31-year-old Ian Mark Haux, of Cooperstown.

According to a criminal complaint, on Friday, April 27, 2018, a sealed nighttime search warrant was obtained for a residence and any/all outbuildings at a location on Wilson Mills Road in Jackson Township, based on information obtained concerning the trafficking of crystal methamphetamine.

Around 9:32 p.m. on Friday, April 27, the search warrant was served, while Ian Haux was detained in a detached garage on the property.

A subsequent search of the garage revealed a Kellee 9mm pistol which was reported as stolen by Meadville City Police, as well as crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, numerous prescription pills, and various drug paraphernalia including a digital scale, baggies, and smoking pipes with residue, according to the complaint.

Approximately 100 yards behind the detached garage was a black 2007 Jeep that was reported stolen through the Titusville Police Department, the complaint states.

Haux allegedly told police he used and possessed the Kellee pistol, and he admitted he is a felon who is not permitted to own a firearm.

Haux also allegedly admitted to police that he attempted to destroy a baggie containing approximately three grams of crystal methamphetamine in the garage during the service of the warrant by opening and tossing the bag under a vehicle, the complaint indicates.

Haux was arraigned at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on the following charges:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (two counts)
– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 2
