Cooperstown Man Jailed on Child Rape Charges

Handcuffs JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Cooperstown man was jailed Wednesday on charges related to the alleged rape of a child in August 2013.

Keith Wayne Moore, 44, of Cooperstown, was taken into custody after Franklin-based State Police filed Rape of a Child and other related charges.

The charges stem from a sexual assault that is alleged to have occurred on August 1, 2013, in Jackson Township, Venango County.

Moore was arraigned yesterday at Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on the following charges:

– Rape of Child (Felony 1)
– Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years Older (Felony 1)
– Aggravated Indecent Assault (Felony 2)
– Aggravated Indecent Assault – Comp. Less Than 13 Years Old (Felony 2)
– Aggravated Indecent Assault – Comp. Less Than 16 (Felony 2)
– Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above (Felony 3)
– Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age (Misdemeanor 1)
– Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Yrs Age (Misdemeanor 2)

A preliminary hearing is set for December 3.

Moore was placed in the Venango County Jail yesterday after he was unable to post $125,000 bail.
