Cooperstown Man Wanted for Allegedly Assaulting Woman, Threatening to Shoot Her in Head

COOPERSTOWN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A Venango County man is wanted on charges related to two violent assaults in Cooperstown.

According to a release issued on Thursday evening by Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Cirell, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 45-year-old Brian Ditzenberger of Cooperstown.

Police say Ditzenberger allegedly engaged in two physical altercations with a known woman at a Hillcrest Avenue residence between September 13 and September 20.

During the first altercation, Ditzenberger allegedly shattered a glass plate over the victim’s right arm causing lacerations and bruising. Broken glass remained in the victim’s arm following the dispute.

During the second incident, Ditzenberger allegedly tackled the victim to the floor and proceeded to strike her arms. This caused bruising on both of the the victim’s arms.

Ditzenberger also allegedly threatened to shoot the victim in the head.

Further details are expected to be released after Ditzenberger is apprehended.
