Cooperstown Woman Injured in Jackson Township Rollover Crash

JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Cooperstown woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed on Patchel Run Road in Jackson Township late Wednesday night.

According to police, around 10:58 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 33-year-old Brieann Carone, of Cooperstown, was driving a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, traveling north on Patchel Run Road just north of McElhaney Lane when she lost control of the vehicle.

Police say the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, then back across both the north and southbound lanes before striking a ditch with the front end.

According to police, the vehicle then traveled approximately 121 feet before striking a culvert, then another 30 feet before striking a shrub and rolling onto its passenger side.

Police say the vehicle finally traveled approximately 80 feet further, crossing the southbound lane and coming to a final rest in the northbound lane facing north.

Carone was wearing a seatbelt.

She suffered suspected minor injuries but refused transport.

Community Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Carone was charged with a traffic violation.
