Cooperstown Woman Injured in Sunday Evening Crash in Sugarcreek

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a Cooperstown woman was injured in a crash in Sugarcreek Borough Sunday evening.

According to police, around 6:13 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, Benita E. Peters, 26, of Cooperstown, was operating a 2009 Dodge Caliber, traveling north on State Route 427 just north of the intersection with Keely Road.

Police say Peters traveled off the right side of the roadway and crashed into a large ditch. The vehicle continued in the ditch for approximately 30 feet before coming to a controlled stop.

Peters was wearing a seatbelt. She suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to UPMC Northwest by Community Ambulance Service.

Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department and Lowry’s Towing assisted at the scene.
