OIL CITY, Pa. — Bridge Builders Community Foundations (BBCF), the community foundation serving Clarion, Forest, and Venango Counties, and the Punxsutawney area, has formed a partnership with Cranberry Area School District to create a charitable fund.

Through the Venango Area Community Foundation affiliate of BBCF, the new fund will support Cranberry Area School District students through programs, scholarships, and more.

“The purpose of developing the fund was to provide people with an opportunity to donate to worthy endeavors of the school district and its students,” said Bill Vonada, superintendent of Cranberry Area School District.

This agreement creates five specific initial funds and provides a framework for the creation of additional funds. The initial funds are a General Scholarship Fund, Athletic Fund, Science & Technology Fund, Arts & Humanities Fund, and an Undesignated Fund.

“Our goal is to address specific areas of interest, as well as provide an opportunity to those who may want to donate, but do not have a specific area in mind,” said Vonada. “We are excited to have partnered with Trenton and Bridge Builders to establish this opportunity for our students, our schools, and our community.”

Contributions to the Cranberry Area School District Charitable Fund can be given on the BBCF website by visiting bbcf.org and clicking “DONATE” at the top. Checks can also be mailed to BBCF at 206 Seneca Street National Transit Building Annex, Suite 10, Oil City, PA 16301. Please include “Cranberry Area School District” when making a donation online or in the check’s memo section.

“Youth are the future of our community and it gives Bridge Builders Community Foundations great pleasure to have this opportunity to support the students through this new fund,” said Trenton Moulin, director at BBCF. “We know it will make a significant impact to not only the Cranberry Area School District, but throughout the region for years to come.”

Your gift of any size is much appreciated and will make an impact for generations to come. If you would like to discuss a legacy gift please contact the Cranberry Area School District or the Community Foundation to assist you.

Please contact BBCF by phone at 814-677-8687 or by email at trenton@bbcf.org with any questions.
