CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — The Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry announced Thursday that Dylan Cyphert will serve as the Clarion Hospital “Tournament of Leaves” Parade Grand Marshal during the Autumn Leaf Festival next weekend.

Cyphert, a 21-year-old left-handed pitcher in the Miami Marlins organization, was born in Clarion, Pa.

Cyphert is the son of former area residents Dave and Mary Cyphert who currently reside in Brooksville, Florida. He is the grandson of Dave, Sr., and Bonnie Cyphert, of Clarion, and the late Edward and Anastasia Osterried formerly of Clarion.

He is a 2015 graduate of Cranberry Area High School where he was a four-year letterman and all-conference pitcher.

He was a two-year starter at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida, logging 126 innings and 123 strikeouts in 24 appearances for the Commodores.
