Cranberry Man Accused of Striking Woman Several Times with Wooden Board

ASHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Cranberry man is facing charges following an incident that occurred in Ashland Township on Friday night.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21, Clarion-based State Police received a call regarding a domestic incident that occurred earlier in the evening at a location on Whitehill Road in Ashland Township, Clarion County.

According to police, upon investigation it was discovered the victim, a 53-year-old Cranberry woman, was struck several times with a wooden board and suffered bodily injury.

A 54-year-old Cranberry man was then taken into custody later that night and arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Timothy Schill.

Unable to post bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

The name of the man was not released.
