Cranberry Man Faces Charges after Allegedly Slamming Woman’s Head Off Ground Multiple Times

CRANBERRY, Pa. (EYT) – A 40-year-old Cranberry man faces charges of Simple Assault and Harassment after he allegedly assaulted a 20-year-old woman this morning.

Franklin-based state police said the incident happened at a location on Hendershot Road around 9:00 a.m. today when 40-year-old Sean Christian Williamson allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a 20-year-old Girard woman.

Police said Wiliamson threw a candle at the victim, causing injury to her chin.

He then choked the victim, threw her on the ground, and grabbed her by the hair and proceed to slam her head off the ground multiple times causing bruising and contusions to her face, police said.

The victim was transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment.

Williamson was placed in Venango County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. on July 11.
