Standing Water on Road Causes One Vehicle Crash in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police say standing water on the roadway caused a Thursday evening crash in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 7:09 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 41-year-old Ryan M. Beichner, of Tionesta, was operating a 2007 Subaru Impreza, traveling south on State Route 62 in Cranberry Township, when the vehicle traveled over standing water on the roadway. The vehicle spun in a clockwise direction across the roadway and off the northbound berm. The rear of the vehicle struck a stump, causing disabling rear-end damage.

Beichner was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Minnich’s Towing.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department assisted with traffic control.
