Knox Woman Charged with Retail Theft at Cranberry Twp. Wal-Mart

HandcuffsCRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say an incident of retail theft occurred on January 28 around 12:09 p.m. at the Wal-Mart in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, Misty Dawn Cain, 32, of Knox, was allegedly observed by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention selecting numerous sale-priced items inside the store and placing them in her purse.

Cain then allegedly proceeded to a checkout register where she paid for items that were in her shopping cart but did not pay for items she was seen concealing in her purse.

She was stopped by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention as she attempted to exit the store.

Cain was found to have items on her person that she did not pay for, totaling $28.65.

A criminal complaint was filed with District Judge Patrick E. Lowery charging Cain with Retail Theft.
