Cranberry Wins KSAC Boys’ XC Title; Clarion’s Lerch Medalist

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. (D9Sports) – Clarion’s Nathaniel Lerch won the KSAC boys’ cross country individual title Thursday, while Cranberry took home the team title.

Run at North Clarion, Lerch ran a time of 17:00.78, which was five seconds faster than second-place finisher Matthew Woolcock of Cranberry, who ran a time of 17:05.78. Cranberry, meanwhile, scored 28 points to outdistance second-place Clarion, who had 34 points.

Cranberry and Clarion dominated the Top 11.

For the Berries, Daniel Fisher was third, Logan Johnson was sixth, Christian Miller was seventh, Hunter O’Neil was 10th and Daniel Ketner was 11th.

For Clarion, Nick Schill was fifth, Don Cunningham was eighth and Noah Scholl was ninth.

The only non-Cranberry/Clarion runner in the Top 11 was North Clarion’s Jacob Bauer, who finished fourth.

Cranberry also won the junior high boys’ team title with the Berries Noel Bunyak earning medalist honors in the race (See full junior high boys’ individual results).
