PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Cranberry woman was one of two people rescued after being trapped in a vehicle following a rollover crash in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 8:33 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 21-year-old Annie L. Dawson of Abingdon, VA, was operating a 2004 Saturn Ion, traveling west on Interstate 80 near mile marker 85.4 in Pine Creek Township.

The vehicle then exited the north of the roadway and struck an embankment before overturning onto its roof, leaving Dawson and her passenger, 20-year-old Laura A. O’Neil of Cranberry, entrapped.

Dawson and O’Neil were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Pine Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department extracted both women using mechanical means.
