Cranberry’s Ziegler Wins KSAC Girls’ Cross County Title; Berries Finish Second Behind North Clarion

SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (D9Sports) — Taking five of the top 10 team scoring spots, North Clarion took home the KSAC girls’ team Cross County Title Thursday at the Clarion County Park, while Cranberry’s Kalynne Ziegler won the individual title.

Ziegler ran a time of 21:26.52 to beat Moniteau’s Hannah Burgoon (21:48.45) for the individual championship, while North Clarion’s top runner was Jordyn Hendrickson, who took third in a time of 21:52.75.

Also for the She-Wolves, Rachel Bauer was fifth, Nicole Fair was seventh, Hayley Bauer was 10th (9th in team scoring) and Kayla Aaron was 11th (10th in team scoring).

Rounding out the Top 10 were Moniteau’s Jenna Blauer in fourth, Cranberry’s Ellabay Perry in sixth and Clarion-Limestone’s Jessica McCracken in eighth.

Cranberry’s girls’ team was second with 43 points behind North Clarion’s score of 34 with Moniteau taking third with 98 points.

Cranberry won the junior high girls race with 23 points with the top three finishers being Cranberry’s Lilly Emanuele, Moniteau’s Abby Jewart and Clarion’s Gia Babington.
