WOLFE NAMED PSAC CENTRAL SOFTBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced today that Makenzie Wolfe was the conference’s Central Division Athlete of the Week for Feb. 18, after a dazzling debut weekend in Myrtle Beach.

Wolfe’s first games in the Blue & Gold were memorable, as she was one of the top offensive threats for the Golden Eagles in their season-opening trip at the February Freeze-Out. Wolfe tied for the team lead with a .389 (7-of-18) batting average, including the first two home runs of her career. She hit the first in Clarion’s game against Southern Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon, a solo shot that sparked a big rally for the Golden Eagles. The second was a two-run blast against Le Moyne on Sunday that pulled the Golden Eagles to within two runs in the seventh inning.

On the weekend, Wolfe finished with the team-high with two home runs and a 1.199 OPS, and ranked second with three RBI’s.
