Dale Allen Schmader, 66, of Seneca, died unexpectedly, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born November 25, 1950 in Warren, he was the son of the late Stanley and Charmaine Albaugh Schmader.

Dale graduated from Warren High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

After college, he went on to work at United Refinery in Warren, and Goss Gas as both a sales and logistics manager from which he retired.

Mr Schmader was a member of the Oil City Boat Club for the last 15 years, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He had many interests, but loved cooking, painting, and woodworking.

Dale’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Education was important to him and he served as a great mentor to his children and grandchildren.

On May 25, 1989, he was married to the former Beth Tarleton who survives.

In addition to his wife, surviving are three sons, Dale “Buddy” Schmader, Jr. of Sheffield, Dan Schmader and his wife Erin of Jeanette, and Sonny Schmader and his wife Kayla of Center Twp., PA; two daughters, Lisa Benson of Sheffield and Lori Maines and her husband Mark of Sheffield; and nine grandchildren, Nathan Benson, Samantha Pollock, Abigail and Allison Schmader, Kassidi, Kili, and Stone Schmader, and Kason and Nyla Schmader.

Also surviving is a sister, Mary Denny and her husband Rocky of Starbrick.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Goss.

There will be no visitation.

A private memorial service will be held at the Oil City Boat Club.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family are suggested.
