Daryl FreshcornDaryl Wayne Freshcorn 77 of Camp Coffman Rd. and 1 Crawford St. Oil City died unexpectedly late Monday afternoon Feb. 27 at his Oil City residence.

Born in Pardoe, Mercer County on Marchn 11, 1939 son of the late Emmett and Beulah Kane Freshcorn.

He was a peacetime veteran of the USAF serving Honorably from Sept. 17, 1956 thru August 16, 1962 serving with the 189th Missile Maintenance Sqdrn. at the Francis E. Warren AF Base , Wyoming.

For many years he worked as a mechanic and all around Mr. Fix-it for a paper-mill in California.

One quarter Native American , He was a very spiritual individual and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witnesses.

He owned and operated several small area farms and owned several rental properties.

Survivors include 1 son Emmett Freshcorn of Cranberry and a daughter Percilla Freshcorn of Oil City. 3 step children Jimmy Pepper, Debbie Pepper and Rosanna Vasquez of Oil City. , A sister Carol Kelly of Grove City.

Also surviving is his ex-wife and mother of his children Martha Freshcorn of Oil City.

He was preceded by 2 brothers Paul and Dale Freshcorn.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Burial was at 10:30 A.M. Friday March 3, 2017 at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Rd. Bridegeville, PA. 15017.

Military Honors were provided by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
