David MotterDavid B. Motter, 61, of Meadville died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

He was born November 6, 1955 in Oil City a son of John Motter and Phyllis Whitmire Motter Farren.

He was a graduate of Townville High School and served 4 years in the US Army stationed in Germany and Ft. Hood, Texas.

Following his discharge he worked in construction as a carpenter first with Devore Construction then with Perry Construction in Erie and with Carpenters Local #81, Pittsburgh.

He loved spending time at his country cabin which he built on Little Sugar Creek near Titusville.

He also loved all things outdoors, spending time in the woods, hunting, fishing and ATV riding.

He taught his children many things and a few of them were the importance of hard work and a well cooked meal.

He is survived by his love of 22 years, Jeanie Conaway of Meadville; a son, Justin Motter and his wife Harmony of Titusville; two daughters, Harmony Motter of Meadville and Sarahbeth Motter of Meadville; a step-daughter, Kim Conaway of Cochranton; a step-son, Joe Conaway of Meadville; his mother, Phyllis Farren and her husband Glenn of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Aaron Motter, Ashley Conaway, Kirsten Motter, Jessi Motter, Levi Rogers, Stella Kokocinski and Jayden Mailliard; three brothers, Rahn Motter and his fiancée Karen Cook of Townville, Gary Motter and his wife Cindy of Titusville and Edward Motter and his wife Valerie of Titusville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Motter.

Private services will be held for the family.
