David B. Witherow, 78, of Clarion, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 3, 2019, at the Clarion Hospital.

He was born on June 1, 1940, in Brookville; son of the late Harry W. and Romaine Haines Witherow.

Dave graduated from Clarion Limestone High School in 1959. He married Linda Hanhold on October 22, 1966; and she survives.

Dave worked for First Energy, retiring after 30 years. He was a Veteran of the US Navy. Dave attended the First Baptist Church in Clarion. He enjoyed woodworking, remodeling, and tinkering around the house. Dave also enjoyed yard work and the outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife; three sons: Brian D. Witherow of Murrysville, Kevin E. Witherow and his wife Allison of Laurel, Maryland, and Corey J. Witherow and his wife Linda of Mars; and his six grandchildren: Joshua, Noah, Carter, Matthew, Daniel, and Anna.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Jean Murray.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Leadbetter, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church in Clarion. Interment will be held in the Clarion Cemetery.
