David C.W. Prather

Mr. David C.W. Prather, 69, of Sopher Rd. Titusville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

David was born on November 9, 1944 to the late Wayne and Esme King Prather in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.

Mr. Prather attended Titusville Schools and was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1962.

David was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.

David was a lover of God and His creation from the most fragile insect to the mightiest beast like his yaks to the delicate orchids he found in his fields of Pennsylvania to the giant sequoia in California. He was published poet and wrote a special poem called, “Ode to Prather Run”, about the beauty of the stream that ran through his family’s property called Prather Run. He was also a gifted writer. He never knew a stranger and would minister God’s word to anyone because he knew time was short and he wanted everyone to join him in the one true kingdom with his king.

Mr. Prather is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Yvonne, his children, grandchildren, sisters, Aleta Chellino of Westminster, CO, Angela Ames of Mar Vista, CA, and Patty Shaffer or Parkersburg, WV, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by a sister Dianne Munro.

No calling hours will be observed. Family and Friends are welcome to attend a grave side service on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Cherrytree Township.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
