David McFeaters, 78, of Harrisville passed away February 24, 2013 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born September 17, 1934 in Grove City he was the son of Charles and Lillian McFeaters. David received his education in the Irwin Township Area, attending Jones School. David married Shirley McChensey on November 21, 1953, she survives. David was a over the road steel hauler, having worked for many local trucking companies. David’s strong politics discussions and views will be missed by his family and friends, he loved to have his option heard on his beliefs that he felt passionate about. Gardening was enjoyed while his health permitted also. As a history buff David read different books about history. More recently he enjoyed his family visits at his home with his children and grandchildren.

Survived in addition to his wife are his children: Linda Kenyon and her husband Tom of Franklin, Judy Bright and her husband Joe Conway AR, Dave McFeaters and his wife Bea of Houston TX. His grandchildren Lynnette Smith, Michelle Irwin, Adrian Zimmerman, Lane Kenyon, Tonya Akins and her husband Jared, Isaac McFeaters and Mark McFeaters. 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. David was proceeded in death by his father and mother and his step mother Gladys McFeaters and 2 brothers Robert and Charles Keith McFeaters.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6-8 at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA. Funeral service will take place Thursday February 28, 2013 at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with the Pastor Randy Powell from First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place at Peters Chapel Cemetery. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial to be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
