Mr. Adams worked previously as a maintenance man at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and driving his red sports car. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son: Richard S. Adams (Dawna) of Hurricane, West Virginia; daughter: Rhonda Kay Pruitt (Rex) of Taylorville; mother: Virginia Adams of Polk, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Nicole Adams, David Adams, Zachary Adams, Amanda Adams, Olivia Pruitt, and Rexton Pruitt; sisters: Mary Lou Buckley (Neil) of Polk, Pennsylvania, and Marty Stahl (Sam) of Titusville, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife, and brother: Paul Adams.
