Dean E. Anthony, 86, of Brookville, died Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Born on February 24, 1932, in Sigel, he was a son of the late George and Mary Catherine (Fowler) Anthony.

Dean was married on February 15, 1958, to Jean L. (Byerly) Anthony.

He attended the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ohl. He worked as a mechanic for the Kendall Witco Bradford Refinery for 43 years. He belonged to the Bradford Refinery Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting, especially deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Jean L. Anthony, three sons, Dale Anthony and his wife Cathy of Brookville, Donald Anthony and his wife Vicki of Warren, and Dennis Anthony and his wife Kris of Punxsutawney, four grandchildren, Marly Doty, Cortney Michalak, Tamera Muir, and Benjamin Anthony, four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ruby Dodge of Corsica.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Nichols, and four brothers, Glenn, Ray, Walter, and Claude Anthony.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 15, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Austin officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Ohl.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery at 3668 Heathville Ohl Road, Summerville Pa. 15864 or to the donor’s choice.
