Deer Causes Canal Township Crash

CANAL TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Franklin responded to a deer-related crash early Saturday morning in Canal Township, Venango County.

Police said Brandon M. Frantz, 20, of Meadville, was driving a 2012 Mazda 6 west on U.S. Route 322 at its intersection with Grove Road at 3:18 a.m. when a deer ran onto the road and collided with the front of the car.

The car was disabled and removed from the scene by Shambaugh Towing.

Frantz was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
