According to police, this crash occurred as a 2014 Chevrolet Spark was traveling south on State Route 8 in the right lane, and a deer entered the road from the east and crossed into the right lane.

Police say Megan R. Ambrose, 30, of Butler, failed to stop the Chevrolet and struck the deer, causing disabling damage to the car.

The car then traveled approximately 400 feet before coming to a final rest on the right shoulder at mile marker 72, according to police.

The deer then traveled to the west to an unknown final resting location, police say.

Ambrose was using her seat belt and was not injured, police say.

Sugarcreek Towing towed the vehicle from the scene.
