Dennis R. “Denny” Stants, 66, of Cooperstown, died on Monday, December 26th, 2016 at Park Avenue Rehabilitation in Meadville.

Mr. Stants was born on June 9, 1950 in Meadville.

He was the son of the late Dale and Strelza Keas Stants. Denny worked at Lord Corporation in Meadville as a Maintenance Mechanic.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting woodchucks, fishing, making homemade fruit brandy, collecting glassware, cutting hay at Mitchell’s Dairy Farm, and raising chickens.

He most especially enjoyed visiting with his close friends, Brian and Sue Burger, and Kit and Glenn Martin.

Denny is survived by his sons, Shaun Stants and Bill Bodner; his brother, Gary Stants; his grandchildren, Darian Bodner, Jenna Bodner, and Blake Caldwell.

In addition, he is survived by his nephew, Jason Stants and his nieces.

As per Mr. Stants request, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
