SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) — The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department held their second annual ‘Fill-a-Car’ Food Drive on Saturday afternoon at the Cranberry Walmart.

Sugarcreek Police Lieutenant Ryan Ashbaugh estimated that there was approximately $1,300.00 worth of items that were donated to the drive.

Sr. Patrolman Joseph Highfield, Lieutenant Ryan Ashbaugh, and Patrolman Matthew Johnson volunteered at the event, which ran from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Cranberry Walmart.

Lieutenant Ashbaugh told exploreVenango.com, “The weather did not want to cooperate with us, and at one point, we were dealing with lighting, thunder, high winds, rain, and hail.”
