HYDETOWN, Pa. (EYT) — The details of a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Hydetown have been released.
Court documents indicate that the Corry-based State Police filed criminal charges against 26-year-old Kevin Lee Kerr of Hydetown.
According to a criminal complaint, around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, Kevin Lee Kerr engaged in a physical altercation with a known man while under the influence of a controlled substance. During the altercation, a Bryco .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun was discharged sending a round into the known man’s lower chest.
Kerr was arraigned at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, in Magisterial District Judge Lincoln S. Zilhaver’s office on the following charges:
– Aggravated Assault, Felony 1
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2
Unable to post $75,000.00 cash bail, he was lodged in the Crawford County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, with Magisterial District Judge Amy L. Nicols presiding.
The condition of the victim is unknown.
