Details Released on Richland Twp. Tractor Trailer Rollover

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police have released details surrounding a December 13 tractor trailer rollover crash in Richland Township, Clarion County.

Police said Russell A. Eastman, 40, of Canfield, OH, was traveling south on Metz Road around 10:26 a.m. when the crash occurred.

According to police, Eastman was traveling downhill on a snow-covered Metz Road at a high rate of speed when his 2006 International Harvester traveled off the right side of the roadway and crashed into an embankment.

The vehicle then rolled onto its passenger side where it came to final rest facing northeast blocking the northbound and southbound lanes of travel.

Eastman was transported to the Clarion Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

A passenger – Nicholas S. Bailes, 23, of McDonald, OH – was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Hovis Truck Service.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
