UPDATE: Woman Injured After Mini-Van Crashes into Walmart

IMG_6293bMONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police have released additional details surrounding an accident that involved a mini-van crashing into Clarion Walmart early Friday morning.

According to police, around 6:25 a.m. on Friday, September 28, Jaime L. Ruby, 41, of Shippenville, stopped at a stop sign at the “T” intersection in the Clarion Walmart parking lot in Monroe Township.

Police say Ruby’s foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator causing her 2008 Dodge Caravan to crash through the glass doors of the store’s garden center.

Ruby was wearing a seatbelt. She suffered injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Clarion Hospital by Clarion Hospital Ambulance.

A Walmart Media Relations representative told exploreClarion.com that no one inside the store was injured.

Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1 also responded to the scene.

The scene was cleared at 7:05 a.m.
