Domenic Tomeo

Domenic Tomeo, 92, of Newmansville, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at home with his family and beloved dog by his side.

Born on December 27, 1925, in Ellwood City, PA he was the son of Angelo and Rose Tomeo.

Domenic graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, PA.

On April 29, 1967, he was married to the former Betsy Sarver Tomeo who preceded him in death on May 15, 1989.

Domenica was a maintenance worker Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls, PA. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting Lionel Trains, playing poker, fishing, hunting, boating, going to swap meets and tinkering with his many projects.

He served from 1950 to 1965 in the United States Army during the Korean War as a heavy equipment operator.

Domenic is survived by his children: Jeffery Tomeo and his wife Tina of Columbus, OH; Liza Rose and her husband James of Howard, OH; Angelo Tomeo of Columbus, OH; and Megan Tomeo of Athens, OH. He is also survived by his grandchildren Gabriel and Cara Tomeo and a brother Angelo Tomeo of Ellwood City, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife Betsy, his brothers Michael and Carmen Tomeo and a sister Mary Santavicca.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg, with Rev. Josh Peck, Pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Venus officiating.

Interment will be in the Amity Lutheran Cemetery in Newmansville following the service.
