Born on October 16, 1938 in Lucinda she was the daughter of Bernard and Bertha Weaver Siegel.
On November 15, 1958 she was married to Joseph B. Kerle who preceded her in death on July 15, 1974.
She was a member of St. Michael Church and also St. Michael Rosary Society.
Dorothy was a homemaker and also served as the Secretary for the Woodman of the World Lodge 696 for over 30 years.
She enjoyed quilting, baking for her family, taking care of her flowers and birds and riding her golf cart through the neighborhood.
Dorothy is survived by her children Tammy Chamber and her husband Steve of Cranberry, Brian Kerle and his wife Laurie of Shippenville, Chris Kerle and his wife Barb of Shippenville, Amy Schwabenbauer and her husband Steve of Tylersburg, Bruce Kerle and his wife Robin of Lucinda, Betsy Ochs and her husband Brad of Lucinda, Eric (Duff) Kerle and his wife Leigh of Lucinda, and Troy (Chip) Kerle and his wife Amy of Shippenville. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. Siblings surviving include Margaret Bauer and her husband Regis, Robert Siegel and his wife Carol, Daniel Siegel and wife Linda, Ann Marie Confer and her husband Donald, Charles Siegel and wife Jill, Nancy Roskovich and her husband John. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law Barb Siegel, Suzi Siegel, Judy Siegel, Delene Siegel, Doris Callen and her husband Butch, and brothers-in-law Larry Zacherl, John Kerle and his wife Kate, Jim Kerle and his wife Martha, and Jerome Kerle and his wife Jan and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, brothers Bernard, Francis, John and Ronald, a sister Gladys and sisters-in-law Anne Kerle and Mary Lou Ball.
As per her wishes there will be no public visitation.
Mass of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. D.G. Davis III, Pastor of St. Michael Church presiding.
Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.
Memorials in Dorothy’s honor may be made to St. Michael Rosary Society.
