Dorothy Montgomery Hoffman formerly of Harrisville, Barkeyville, Clintonville area died April 30, 2017 at Orchard Manor.

She was 99 years of age. Mrs. Hoffman was born Nov. 18, 1917 in Grove City, Pa. to Andy and Bertha W. Montgomery.

She was married Loyal E Hoffman Dec 29, 1934 who died Dec 17, 1983.

She was preceded in death by husband Loyal Hoffman, brother Leroy Montgomery, two sisters Mrs. Gail (Leora) Lumley and Mrs. Herald (Marion) Renick

She attended the United Methodist Church of Clintonville.

She had worked at the original “Polk State School”, had also drove school bus for Moore’s Bus Service and served 14 years as Tax Collector for the Borough of Clintonville.

Surviving are two son’s Larry E. Hoffman of New Castle Pa., James Hoffman of Crossville Tenn. and Mrs. Merle (Lottie) Blair of Grove City Pa., four grand children, and seven great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchilren.

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 1-3 with funeral services at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Stauffer officiating.

Internment will take place at Old Log Cemetery.
