Driver Cited After Crashing into Parked Vehicle in Tionesta

TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a driver was cited after crashing into a parked vehicle in Tionesta Borough early Sunday morning.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 12:44 a.m. on Sunday, December 30, a 2008 Dodge 3500 was traveling south on Vine Street in Tionesta Borough just south of Spring Street and attempted to back into a driveway to allow oncoming traffic to pass.

Police say while backing up, the vehicle struck the left quarter panel of a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country that was parked on Vine Street with its front right bumper, causing minor body damage and paint transfer.

No injuries were reported.

The driver of the Dodge vehicle was cited with a violation of limitations on backing up.

State police did not release the name of the driver.
