Driver Crashes SUV into Tombstones at Emlenton Cemetery, Flees Scene

EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Franklin are investigating a recent hit-and-run crash in the Emlenton area.

The crash occurred September 2 around 10:57 p.m. at Emlenton Cemetery located near the intersection of Garden Street and Kerr Avenue.

Police say an unknown person drove an SUV off the roadway and crashed into a sign and multiple trees before colliding with several tombstones.

Investigators say the driver fled the scene without reporting the crash.
