Driver Escapes Injury in Deer-related Crash

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85MINERAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 62 in Mineral Township, Venango County.

According to police, 27-year-old Ashley Craig, of Franklin, was traveling south in a 2014 Chevrolet Spark when a deer entered her path of travel.

Police say Craig’s vehicle impacted the deer, causing Craig to lose control.

The vehicle traveled across the roadway and off the west berm.

The vehicle impacted a concrete culvert and came to final rest.

Craig was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt.

Police say this crash occurred at 2:45 a.m. February 11, 2016.
