Tractor Trailer Rollover Crash Shuts Down I-80 in Venango County

SCRUBGRASS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to police, an 3:57 p.m. on March 2, 2016, 38-year-old Troy Allen Estep, of Washington Courthouse, OH, was traveling west on Interstate 80.

Police say Estep’s left tires went onto the soft shoulder of the roadway, causing Estep to overcompensate and return to the roadway, overturning the vehicle onto its left side.

Estep was not injured in the crash and police say an investigation is ongoing.

The crash shut down a portion of Interstate 80 for several hours while crews cleared the scene.

Police were assisted on scene by Hovis Towing, Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department, and Emlenton Ambulance.
