Driver Escapes Injury in Rollover Crash on Route 27

PLUM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say around 8:00 a.m. on February 19, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 27 (Meadville Road), in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to police, 42-year-old Tamara K. McGill of Titusville was traveling west on SR 27 in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler and began to slide on the ice-covered roadway.

Her vehicle then traveled across the eastbound lane of SR 27 and off the south berm where it impacted a dirt embankment with its right side, police say.

After impact, the vehicle rotated in a counterclockwise manner traveling west for approximately 15′ and impacted the dirt embankment a second time with its right rear and continued approximately another 60′ before it rolled onto its side and came to rest, according to police.

McGill was using a seat belt and was not injured.
