Car Slams into Tree in Canal Township; Driver Facing Multiple Charges

CANAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police report a Cochranton woman has been charged with several violations following an accident in Canal Township, Venango County, on August 14, 2104.

Police report that this crash occurred as Krystal R. Allen, 29, of Cochranton, was traveling East around 10:40 a.m. on Donation Hill Road, just east of Falls Road in Canal Township.

According to police, Allen lost control of her 2005 Chrysler 300M, crossed the roadway, and traveled approximately 60 feet through the brush and struck a tree.

Allen’s vehicle came to rest approximately 35 feet north of the roadway facing Northeast at the point of impact with the tree.

Allen was cited with the following violations:

– Failing to Immediately Notify the Police about the Accident
– Duty to Give Information and Render Aid
– Driving on the right half of the roadway
– Providing Required Financial Responsibility
– Carrying and exhibiting Driver’s License on demand

Allen was not harmed in the accident.

Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
