Driver Falls Asleep at Wheel; Crashes Into Cement Barrier

AmbulanceEMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) – An 18-year-old male was injured in a one-vehicle crash near Emlenton on Saturday morning.

State Police in Clarion say Travis Myers, 18, Butler, was traveling west on Interstate 80 near mile-marker 43 when he fell asleep at the wheel.

Myers’ 2002 Jaguar X-Type crashed into a cement barrier, causing disabling damage to the vehicle.

Myers, who sustained minor injuries in the crash, was cited for Careless Driving.
