Driver Flown to Hamot Following Route 62 Motorcycle Crash

AmbulanceMINERAL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say a man was flown to UPMC Hamot following a motorcycle crash that occurred on July 20 on Route 62 in Mineral Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 9:37 p.m. on July 20, 58-year-old Roy A. Lovely, of Millington, Mich., was traveling south on Route 62 when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, just south of Raymilton Road.

Lovely was allegedly traveling too fast and lost control of his 2001 Harley-Davidson Street Glide.

The motorcycle reportedly fell onto its left side on the roadway and slid off the east side of Route 62. The vehicle then slid into a guide rail where it came to a final stop facing west.

Lovely was flown to UPMC Hamot by STAT MedEvac for treatment of injuries of an unknown severity.

Assisting on scene were Polk Volunteer Fire Department and Community Ambulance.
