PINEGROVE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, around 9:28 a.m. on December 15, a two-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 157, at its intersection with Sawtown Road, in Pinegrove Township, Venango County.

Police say 68-year-old Karen M. Barnes, of Tionesta, and 24-year-old Frank E. Salsgiver, of Clarendon, were involved in the collision.

According to police, a vehicle, driven by Barnes, was traveling west of SR 157 when Barnes tried to pass a vehicle, driven by Salsgiver.

Salsgiver was making a left turn onto Sawtown Road and Barnes’ vehicle struck his vehicle in the driver’s side door.

Community Ambulance transported Barnes to UPMC Northwest for treatment of moderate injuries.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the crash.

Police say charges will be filed at Magistrate Dinberg’s office for multiple traffic violations against Barnes.
