Driver Injured in Oil Creek Township Crash

ambulanceOIL CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on Jerusalem Corners Road in Oil Creek Township, Venango County.

Police say this accident occurred at 6:00 a.m., on June 30, 2015, as 35-year-old Cynthia Richar, of Oil City, was traveling north on Jerusalem Corners Road when she lost control of her 1995 GMC Sonoma while cresting a hill.

The vehicle went off the eastern roadside into a ditch causing the vehicle to rollover and eventually come to rest on its roof, according to police.

Richar sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported by Community Ambulance to Titusville Hospital.

Two children were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash and escaped injury, according to police.

Police say Richar and the two children were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

A traffic citation against Richar will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Andrew Fish.
