Driver Injured in One-Car Crash on Route 257, Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say around 11:30 a.m. on April 24, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 257, south of Ranch Street, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, 66-year-old William R. Shawgo, of Seneca, was traveling south on SR 257 in a 2004 Ford Taurus.

Police say he crossed into the oncoming traffic lane and traveled head-on into a sign located on the eastern side of the roadway.

Shawgo was using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

Community Ambulance Service transported him to UPMC Northwest.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
