CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police report a one-vehicle crash occurred on I-80 around 4:45 a.m. on September 13 in Clinton Township, Venango County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Ivan G. Lukach, 22, of Parma, OH, was traveling east on I-80 near exit 35 in a 2003 Ford Edge.

Lukach allegedly swerved to avoid striking a deer that had entered into the lane of travel, turned too sharply, and lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle allegedly traveled across the left lane and left the northern edge of the roadway, say police. Once the vehicle entered the median area, it overturned several times before coming to a rest upside down just off the southern edge of the westbound lanes.

Lukach was using a seatbelt and was uninjured in the crash.

Franklin PSP was assisted at the scene by the Clintonville Fire Department and Cliff Hovis Towing.
