Driver Transported to Clarion Hospital Following Tractor Trailer Crash on Interstate 80

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say one man was transported to Clarion Hospital following a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 80 in Richland Township last week.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 9:22 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 64-year-old Ralph M. Free, of Bristolville, Ohio, was operating a 2005 International tractor-trailer, traveling westbound in Interstate 80 near mile marker 47.5.

Police say Free’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to a final rest facing east, with the trailer pointing west.

Free was wearing a seatbelt and suffered suspected minor injures.

He was transported to Clarion Hospital by Clarion Hospital Ambulance.

Hovis Towing & Recovery and Emlenton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
