Venango County DUI Task Force Reports Results of Roving Patrols; Three DUI Arrests Issued

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Lieutenant Eric Heil, Venango County DUI Task Force Enforcement Coordinator, provided results from recent roving DUI patrols in Venango County.

Officers from various Venango County municipal police departments performed roving DUI patrols within their jurisdictions on September 12 and 13, 2014.

Patrols were conducted between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

Officers reported making a total of 45 traffic stops which resulted in three DUI arrests, 20 citations being issued, and also 29 warnings were given.

Officers from the Municipal Task Force will continue to conduct roving patrols and sobriety checkpoints in the coming weeks in an attempt to detect operators impaired by drugs or alcohol
