Dylan Cyphert Offering Pitching Lessons

CRANBERRY, Pa. (EYT) – Cranberry High School graduate and current Miami Marlins minor league pitcher Dylan Cyphert is offering private pitching lessons.

The cost of the lessons is $35.00 for a 30-minute session and $50.00 for a 60-minute session. Group lessons – up to five players – are also available in 60-minute increments with the cost being $25.00 per player for two players; $20.00 per player for three or four players; and $10.00 per player for four or five players.

Some topics covered during the lessons will include pitching mechanics, pitching drills, introduction to off-speed pitches, goal setting, and the mental side of pitching.

Cyphert is a 2015 graduate of Cranberry High School where he was named the KSAC MVP his junior and senior seasons and went 23-6 on the mound helping the Berries to the District 9 2A title as a senior and a 1A runner-up spot as a junior. Cyphert went on to pitch at Gulf Coast State College in Florida and recorded 123 strikeouts in 126 career innings pitched for the JUCO college. He was then drafted in the 17th round of the Major League Baseball draft this past June by the Miami Marlins. Assigned to the Gulf Coast League Marlins, Cyphert appeared in 11 games out of the bullpen going 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 16 innings of work with six scoreless appearances.
