Earl GarrettMr. Earl G. Vincent, 86, of 16454 S. Main St. Pleasantville, died, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 9:00 AM at his residence surrounded by his family.

Earl was born on September 26, 1930 in Bradford to the late Harry and Dorothy Vincent. He married Jean J. Johnson on January 6, 1951 in Grand Valley. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2005.

He was a graduate of Tionesta High School, class of 1949. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he received the Korean Service Medal and two bronze stars.

Earl worked at the Universal Cyclops Steel Corp. for 38 years until his retirement. He and his wife also owned Vincent’s Red and White Store in Pleasantville for 11 years.

Member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, Titusville Lodge No. 754 F&AM.

Earl was an outstanding high school athlete and excelled in baseball and basketball. He enjoyed hunting, working in his yard, being out in the woods, and being with his family.

He is survived by his four children, Scott E. Vincent and wife Kathleen of Fairview, Steven E. Vincent and wife Mary of Pleasantville, Stacey J. Vincent and companion Jerry of Oil City, and Susan A. Barnett and husband Saul of Pleasantville; eight grandchildren, Katrina Vincent of Fairview, Kayla Millet and husband Nate of Summit Twp., Adam Vincent and wife Kattie of Titusville, Benjamin Vincent and wife Andrea of Cranberry, Christopher Fox of Oil City, Sarah Fox of Hampton, VA, and Hannah and Rachael Fox both of Oil City; 7 great grandchildren, Gianna and Gunnar Smith of Fairview, Maliya and Malachi Millet of Summit Twp., Cole and Weston Vincent of Titusville, and Chandler Vincent of Cranberry; a sister June Schwabenbauer and husband William of Olean, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by a great grandson Graden Vincent Smith; and two brothers Robert and Eugene Vincent.

No public calling hours will be observed. A private service will be held for the family.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery with full military honors.
